Bad Parenting /Peer Pressure ........ Written by Livinus Nnaemeka John
The society today is at it's lowest ebb morally, talks about external and internal forces are constant fallacious attempt to nullify accountability.
We are at loggerheads to what is responsible for the recent upturn in moral decline, narrowing them down to the most common factions bad parenting and peer pressure.
Peer pressure has taken alot of brunts and backlash for constituting to societal ills, thereby numbing the argument that humans are rationale with regards to decision making.
This has watered an unfounded theory that external influence clouds the average human mind, as against a clear knowledge of right and wrong.
If the above notion is upheld, it is safe to say humans are incapable of distinguishing between right and wrong when faced with a contradicting external influence. How laughable!!
Parenting is a core essence of every human representation. From birth a child is blank, which makes it easier to assimilate information without query nor disinterest . The onus is then on parenting to instill the needed mental discipline at the initial, amidst the fear of external influence.
The bitter truth is peer pressure is secondary to parenting hierarchical and otherwise, which makes it a seemingly biased comparison. Parents should be more accountable and held responsible for the decay in moral standards.
Arguably, parenting is on it's lapse although sentiment would state otherwise. Humans are generally conformed to blame and devoid of accountability.
